3rd Project Meeting in Burgio, Italy in March 2012

Now we are all back home full of emotions and impressions which we took home from Sicilia.
From 26th to 30th March 2012 the six partners of our project met in Burgio in Italy.
This meeting was held to work on the cooking book and to present our results of the topic "free towns-villa franca". The presentations were fantastic and the book will be ready in June 2012.
Domenico Balsamo showed us the three schools of his school "A.G.Roncalli" in Burgio, Villafranca Sicula and Lucca Sicula. The Italian students who were in Portugal were very happy to meet the other students again.
It was an honour to us to be welcomed to the Mayor of Villafranca Sicula.
Besides the work the Italian teachers prepared an amazing cultural programme for us and so we could learn a lot about the region. It was really surprising to taste oranges in a field near Ribera. Thank you to Guiseppe!
One of the most impressing tours was the visit to the Valle dei Templi near Agrigento. And to make this day perfect we went to the Sea and some students and teachers of our group had a bath in the Sea. The water was quite cold!
The German group was accompanied by the Mayor of Freyburg, Mr Udo Mänicke. He pointed out that it is important for all of our countries to build up cultural and educational opportunities to the students to give them the possibility to learn about Europe and to become real Europeans.
We all are looking forward to the last meeting in Freyburg, Germany in June 2012.

Project Meeting in Vila Franca de Xira

From the 5th October to 10th October 2011 all partners were guests in Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal.
The school Agrupamento de Escola Prof. Reynaldo dos Santos EB n. 4 de V.F.X provided a very interesting programm.
We visited the school, the town and the landscape around Vila Franca de Xira. The students made a peddi paper around the town.
The most important thing was the cooking show at the school. Students prepared delicious typical meals of their country. So we could practise the topic of our project: Tastes of Europe.
On Sunday we visited Lisbon, which is a fascinating city. Some of us could get an impression about bullfighting because Vila Franca de Xira is the centre of bullfighting in Portugal.
After some fomidable days in Portugal with amazing weather we left with a lot of memories of nice people.
