Our Comprehensive School, “A. G. Roncalli”, includes the nursery school ,the primary school and the junior high school of three small villages: Burgio, Villafranca Sicula and Lucca Sicula. They are situated,not far from each other, on the hill in the hinterland of Agrigento in Sicily.They have similar sociocultural features.Their economy is the agriculture ( there are a lot of orangeries and olive groves ),the handcrafts, the commerce and the tertiary sector.There are a lot of unemplyed people and the hope to have a sure work is very far.There’s a high migration rate to Northen Italy, a zero population growth and a great number of migrants. Students’age is from 3 to 14.The main aim of our school is to create a good relationship among teachers and teachers-families in order to have educational systems where the student is the protagonist and the author of his own growth.
